Ballet Competition in Brno Na špičkách  2024

Prague, Czech Republic - 13 May 2024

Dance Centre Prague Conservatory participated in a prestigious ballet competition in Brno, where it presented its modern approach to classical repertoire and the use of classical technique in contemporary dance theatre.

Our talented students placed as follows:

Karolína Rumpelová took 2nd place in the Girls G (16-17 years) - Classical / Solo category with 61 points for her performance of the Dulcinea Variation.

Tereza Petrová placed 4th in the category Girls G (16-17 years) - Classical / Solo with 57 points for her performance of Variations from the ballet Giselle, Act 1.

Tamara Školníková placed 5th in the category Girls G (14-15 years) - classical / solo with 57 points for her performance of Variations from Florine.

Dorina Šimůnková placed 11th in the category Girls G (14-15 years) - Classical / Solo with 47 points for her performance of Variations Kitri, from Act 3 of the ballet Don Quixote.

Congratulations to everyone on this significant achievement, which is a testament to the quality and talent of our students and their teachers, especially prof. Pavla Zusková, who provided intensive preparation of all the competitors and artistic accompaniment during the competition.

By combining respect for tradition and innovative practices in the scenic practice of dance theatre, Dance Centre Prague aims to increase interest in dance education as an important and attractive path to an artistic career and employment in culture and education.

This season you can see the results of the students' work in the last performances of the 2023/24 school year. The final performances of all years will take place at the Hybernia Theatre on 20 and 21 June.
