Method of graduation, level of education attained
1) Diploma
Education in the conservatory is usually completed by graduation from the conservatory (Section 89(1) of Act No. 561/2004 Coll. - Education Act). This is evidenced by a certificate of graduation from the conservatoire and a diploma of graduation from the conservatoire. Discharge is governed by Section 90 of Act No 561/2004 Coll. - Education Act, and the relevant implementing legislation
- theoretical examination in the following subjects: History of Dance (dance, theatre), History of Art (music, visual arts)
- graduation thesis and its defence
- graduation performance
- examination in artistic and pedagogical training
2) Graduation
Pupils also complete their education with a matriculation examination after the eighth year (Section 89(1) of Act No. 561/2004 Coll. - Education Act). This is evidenced by a matriculation examination certificate. The matriculation examination is governed by the Education Act (Section 72(1-4)(3)) and the relevant implementing legislation.
- Czech language and literature, English language
- The theoretical vocational part of the matriculation examination: History of Dance, History of Art, or optional subjects
- practical professional part: examination in Classical and Contemporary Dance, including the relevant Repertoire
