Conservatoire Preparatory - Terpsichore

The private ballet school Terpsichore was founded in 2008 by retired ballet dancers Pavlina and Pavel Ďumbal at the Prague State Opera. Since then, over 2000 students have passed through the school. Thanks to its sophisticated concept, Terpsichore ranks among the top ballet schools in the Czech Republic. Students applying to study at conservatoires always achieve the highest scores in the talent tests. The Ďumbals consider their greatest pedagogical achievement to be the acceptance of their student Emma Stráníková, as the first ever foreign student (at the age of 10!) to study at MGACH (Московская Государственная akadдемия хореографии), or the Bolschoi Ballet Academy in Moscow. The school has also gained a good name abroad. Every year, students take medal positions at international ballet competitions.
