TALENT EXAMS FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2026/27

Application submission: from 1. 2. 2026 to 20. 2. 2026 (electronically in DIPSY, extract from DIPSY, paper application) 

Admission procedure date: Tuesday 24. 3. and Wednesday 25. 3. 2026 

Based on the submitted application, the applicant (or legal representative) will receive an invitation to the talent test on a specific date.

In case of illness, the applicant (or legal representative) will send a written apology. An alternative date will be set between 24. 4. 2026 - 5. 5. 2026.

Expected number of applicants admitted to the 1st year: 23

Criteria for successful completion of the talent tests:

  1. talent prerequisites must be met at 80% (maximum number of points 110, passing limit 88 points)
  2. general knowledge test must be met at 60% (maximum number of points 18, passing limit 11 points)
  3. music knowledge test must be met at 60% (maximum number of points 12, passing limit 7 points)
  4. report card, average maximum 1.8 (taking into account specific learning disabilities) average 1.00 – 1.29 10 points, average 1.30 – 1.50 9 points, average 1.51 – 1.80 8 points, average 1.80 and more 7 points

Failure to meet the minimum score of the first, second or third part prevents admission to the study (see passing limit above). 

In case of equal points of several candidates, the higher score in the practical part of the talent test, i.e. in the part: talent prerequisites, decides the ranking of the candidates. 


The administrative authority, in this case TCP - Conservatoire, is giving the participants in the administrative proceedings (i.e. the talent tests) the opportunity to comment on the decision before it is issued pursuant to Section 36 (3) of the Administrative Procedure Code in the matter of the talent tests on 15 April 2026 between 16:00 and 17:00.

The results of Round 1 of the talent tests and the admission procedure will be published in DIPSY, on the Conservatoire's website and in a publicly accessible place on 15 May 2026.

Information for applicants – older than 5th grade of elementary school:

You can register for the talent tests or the differential exam at any time in a free form (name, age, place of residence, school, year, contact) to the e-mail tcp@tanecnicentrum.cz. You will then receive the nearest possible test date.

After successfully completing the differential exams (see talent exam criteria), applicants will be placed in the conservatory year according to their level in theoretical and practical subjects and the degree of talent development.

The Grades forms from previous education are completed and, in particular, signed by the primary school.


Study allowance

The study allowance is set to ensure the financing of an exclusive level of activities within the implementation of the TCP study program. The study allowance serves to finance, in particular, the following above-standard activities provided by TCP for students:

  • rehabilitation, grammar school theory, eclectic teaching of practice,
  • theory aids, clothing and footwear for practice, public stage practice,
  • camps, trips and other similar activities,
  • workshops, masterclasses with visiting teachers and other similar activities.

Girls in the total amount of 66,000 CZK per year.

Boys in the total amount of 30,000 CZK per year.

If siblings study at TCP, the second sibling pays half the allowance.

The amount of the allowance does not include meals in the school cafeteria and accommodation.

Scholarship program

In the case of demonstrable social problems, the conservatory and the cooperating Dance and Theatre Foundation can help the student through a scholarship program: a written application must be submitted to tcp@tanecnicentrum.cz.
